Role Overview

We are looking for experienced LPDDR / Device Driver IP Validation Engineers with strong Embedded C programming skills and hands-on experience validating device-driver IPs in RTOS or Linux kernel environments.

The role involves developing, implementing and executing test cases, logging defects, reporting test results, and validating Board Support Packages (BSPs) on ARM-based target boards running the Linux kernel. Candidates should understand device-driver IPs and have experience with one or more relevant hardware interfaces or IPs, such as DDR, CSI, CAN, GPU, PCIe, GbE, UFS or SPI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and execute test cases for device-driver IP validation.

  • Validate device-driver IPs in RTOS and/or Linux kernel environments.

  • Perform BSP validation on ARM-based target boards running the Linux kernel.

  • Understand and validate one or more hardware IPs, including LPDDR/DDR, CSI, CAN, GPU, PCIe, GbE, UFS and SPI.

  • Develop test applications and APIs using Embedded C.

  • Log defects, analyze failures, track issues and report test results.

  • Debug device-driver and hardware-interface issues using systematic problem-solving techniques.

  • Use Linux commands and kernel concepts to support validation and debugging.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate failures and improve test coverage.

  • Where applicable, support validation activities in a Zebu emulation environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in embedded software, device-driver validation or BSP validation.

  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C, particularly for API and test-application development.

  • Understanding of Linux commands and Linux kernel concepts.

  • Experience validating device-driver IPs in an RTOS and/or Linux kernel environment.

  • Experience with BSP validation on ARM-based target boards.

  • Understanding of validation workflows for one or more IPs such as DDR/LPDDR, CSI, CAN, GPU, PCIe, GbE, UFS or SPI.

  • Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and test-result reporting skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Good experience with Python scripting.

  • Good experience with Shell scripting.

  • Experience working in a Zebu emulation environment.

  • Exposure to hardware-level debugging and embedded platform validation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have strong Embedded C skills, practical experience with device-driver IP validation, and a solid understanding of Linux kernel concepts and ARM-based embedded platforms. They should be comfortable developing and executing test cases, investigating failures, logging defects and producing clear validation reports.

Candidates with relevant embedded, semiconductor, BSP, Linux kernel or device-driver validation experience are preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Education: BE, B.Tech, ME or M.Tech.

  • Joining: Immediate joiners preferred; maximum notice period of 15 days.

  • Interview Process: Face-to-face interview is mandatory.

Priority: Candidates with strong Embedded C and relevant device-driver/BSP validation experience, available to join within 0–15 days, and willing to work from the Bangalore office.
