Accessibility

Last Updated: 17 October 2026

This statement explains how we work to make the Joan Technologies Ltd website accessible, where we know it falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.

1. Our Commitment

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

2. What We Have Done

To work towards that aim, we have:

  • Tested the website in the Chrome, Firefox and Safari browser engines, on screen sizes from phones to large monitors, in both the light and dark themes.
  • Checked text contrast against WCAG level AA, including text placed over photos and graphics.
  • Made the links, buttons and form fields usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and added a "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page.
  • Respected the reduced-motion setting on your device: with it on, the client logo strip stands still and the testimonials do not change on their own.
  • Given meaningful images a text alternative, and marked decorative images so that screen readers skip them.
  • Given every form field a visible label, and linked each error message to its field so that screen readers read it out.
  • Set the language of every page to UK English, so that screen readers pronounce the text correctly.
  • Run automated accessibility checks against WCAG 2.2 level AA on every page as part of our regular site checks.

3. Known Limitations

We know of these limitations:

  • Job descriptions come from our recruitment system and are written by our recruiters, so their headings and formatting may vary from the rest of the website.
  • The spam-protection check on our forms is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party service, so we do not control how it looks or works. If it stops you sending a form, please email us instead.
  • CVs are uploaded as PDF or Word files. If you cannot send your CV in one of these formats, please email us.

4. Feedback and Alternative Formats

If you find any part of this website hard to use, or you need information from it in another format, please email [email protected]. Tell us the address of the page and the problem you found.

We will try to provide the information in another format.

5. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 17 October 2026. It is based on our own testing of the website.

We will review it at least once a year, and when we make significant changes to the website.
